Please note unlike other on-line sellers of prescriptive glasses we do not offer Bi-Focal or Vari-Focal lenses on this site. As professional Opticians our advisors believe that these types of prescription glasses should be fitted personally by fully qualified opticians to deliver the correct solution for you the wearer.
Our optical experts have in excess of 50 years experience between them of purchasing frames, lenses, contact lenses and dispensing prescriptive glasses. We are proud to state that all our glasses are produced to London Dispensing Optician standards and are quality inspected before shipment by one of our resident LDO's.
Our own brand frames are all priced at just £15.00 and we currently offer in excess of 20 different styles. Semi-rimless and Rimless frames are priced at £15 but carry a glazing surcharge to reflect the extra labour involved in their manufacture.
Our lenses are available in 3 different index thicknesses and are available with ARC (anti reflective coating), U.V. (ultra violet protection), Hard coating, Tints and Transition.
For those of you that like to purchase branded designer frames such as La Perla, Sting, Fila, and Police etc. We run weekly Designer frame specials that are usually less than 50% of the High street price. If you have a specific designer frame requirement, email us with the product code and if it is not in stock we will endeavour to source the product for you.
The staff and management of Specslab.co.uk are all qualified and have vast experience in the operation and management of European retail optical outlets. All work on lenses conforms to British Standard 2738.

The advent of 'on-line' purchasing capabilities for prescription glasses is a breakthrough as far as price point is concerned. There are however various possible pitfalls that the customer could experience when ordering their spectacles in this way. Our Opticians have over 50 years experience in providing prescription glasses to the general public and UK Military forces. It is their considered opinion that Bifocal and Vari-Focal lenses require correct physical fitting by a qualified LDO, (London Dispensing Optician) as such we do not provide an on-line service for these products. Whilst we are aware that other on-line 'sales operations' do offer these products, our opticians are unhappy to provide this service even if there is just a small percentage risk that you the customer are not provided with the very best care for your eyes.
All our glasses are glazed in our own laboratories throughout Europe. These laboratories also supply our own high street retail outlets. All glazing is carried out under the supervision of our own London Dispensing Opticians and all glasses manufactured are quality checked against the ordered prescription before dispatch. We do not outsource work to trade technicians or external laboratories.
